The York County Regional Chamber is teaming up with the Catawba Regional Council of Governments (COG) for its annual Legislative Kickoff! They have graciously invited all members of the Chester, Lancaster and Clover Chambers of Commerce to attend as well. The 2025 Catawba Regional Forum will highlight private and public sector progress across our region over the past 25 years, and also will consider regional challenges and opportunities we may face in the future. The keynote speaker for the 2025 Forum is Mr. Robert Hiett, Executive Director of the Upper Coastal Plain Council of Governments in North Carolina. A public sector executive with 20+ years of experience developing and leading innovative regional solutions, Robert will discuss the rapidly developing use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in regional public and private sector settings. Mr. Hiett has published articles, YouTube videos, and books on AI applications, including “Public Sector Survival Guide for ChatGPT”. Robert earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Georgia State University and holds a master's degree in public administration from Grand Canyon University.
