Open to home school students grades 1-5. $10 per class. Adult supervision required. Pre-registration required for each class.
Welcome to Farmschool, a fun, hands-on program just for homeschoolers in grades 1-5! Get ready to learn all about their bodies, what they eat, how to take care of them, and so much more! In this interactive program, you will:
- Discover Horse Anatomy: Discover the amazing parts of a horse, like their strong legs and big hearts. You’ll learn how everything works together!
- Understand Feeding Needs: Find out what yummy foods horses like to eat and how to keep them healthy with the right meals.
- Learn Handling Techniques: Build confidence as you learn how to safely interact with and lead horses, making new friends along the way!
- Discover Tack: Get to know the different types of tack, like saddles and bridles, and learn how they help us ride and care for horses.
- Practice Grooming Skills: Learn how to brush and groom horses to keep them clean and happy.
