Description
Join us for an exciting day designed to connect business leaders and generate enthusiasm for local attractions. On October 3rd, we will gather at the Rodman Community Center to dive into the rich tourism opportunities in our region. Here's the itinerary:
- Rodman Community Center (2484 Rodman Road, Chester): Kick-off with an informative session on tourism, accompanied by lunch from Potbelly BBQ. Leave your cars and we'll go by Rice Tours to our next destinations (sponsored by our friends at Luck Stone). The bus ride together is extra fun!
- Lando Manetta Mills History Center: Explore the fascinating history of the area at this outstanding museum, set up to showcase our textile roots.
- Union ARP Church & Cemetery: Reverand Neely Gaston will talk to us about the Revolutionary War 250th Anniversary Committee (Chester County has one, along with all SC counties) and their plans to celebrate this major anniversary for our nation, as well as the importance of "ancestry tourism" and the work being done to preserve local cemeteries.
- PJ's Soft Serve: Indulge in a delicious ice cream treat from this new Richburg business!
- Rodman Sports Complex: Conclude the day with an update from Parks & Recreation Supervisor, Adam Bedard, on the new sports complex and how it will impact both quality of life and economic development.
Thanks to generous sponsorships and discounts, tickets are just $20 and include lunch, ice cream, transportation, and admission to all sites. Don't miss this opportunity to connect and prosper from our growing tourism economy!
